Terry Dean
Terry Dean is assistant instructor of the Ojirowashi Dojo. Terry's first introduction to Aikido was in 1985, while watching classes
at the Mt. Albert Recreation Centre, Auckland.
Terry started learning Aikido in Adelaide, March 1989. His interest in the art grew gradually until in 1993 when, he decided to train formally.
On November 25, 2000 Terry Dean was graded to shodan by Raymond McLaughlin of the NZYAF and received his shodan certificate from the International Yoshinkai Aikido Federation (IYAF), Japan on January 19, 2001.
On December 10, 2009, Terry was graded by a panel of Yoshinkan Instructors at the New Zealand Yoshinkan Aikido Federation headquarters, in Mt. Albert, Auckland, New Zealand. The instructors included: Eddie Wong Sensei 7th Dan Yoshinkan Aikido, Raymond McLaughlin 5th Dan Yoshinkan Aikido, Steven Young 5th Dan Yoshinkan Aikido, and Mary-Joan Bradley 3rd Dan Yoshinkan Aikido.
On January 30, 2010, an AYF 2nd Dan Registration Certificate was issued by the Yoshinkan Honbu Dojo, Tokyo and signed by Kancho Yasuhisa Shioda, President of the Aikido Yoshinkai Foundation (AYF).

Yoshinkai Aikido - began training in 1989, attained the following:
- Current Rank - Nidan (2nd degree blackbelt), Yoshinkan Aikido 2010
- Shodan (1st degree blackbelt), Yoshinkan Aikido 2001
- (IYAF) International Registered Instructor - Level 6, 2007
